Im a newbie, i have a 30 galllon tank with 2 damels and some live rocks. On 1 of my rocks there are 2 pink bumps now one is opened up it looks like a trumpet. It can also bend. What is it? 8O

yeah it sounds like a type of coral.
Probably not a good thing if you didnt have to pay extra for it! 8O
So the best option you have in my opion is to remove that peice of rock, just place it in a bag with water and air and just ship it to me I have a way of humainly taking care of it!!! 8)

can this coral hurt my tank. i think it like light. there are 2 of them one is open and one is not; i found pictures online and it looks like a hydroid. it will stand up if the light is on or bend towards light. :lol:

My guess is actually a Foraminian. Check the Hitchhiker photos to see if you find it: http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/photoalbum_view

In any case, I doubt any of this is harmful at all. There are a lot of hitchhikers that you will discover, most of which are benign or beneficial.
