before anyone suggests it.. i CAN NOT get a bigger tank. That being said. I'm out of room in my 24X24X24 cube reef. The lack of room is due largely to the way the rockwork is laid out. So, I'm going to be forced to re-aquascape the tank (possibly tonight). \

I've done it a few times in the last few years, but I just wanna c if anyone has any advice, as far as keeping the corals happy for an hour or so, and maybe a suggestion to get me more room in my tank (more SURFACE AREA is what I need).

So, what are some things you would suggest as far as a project like this goes?

OH.. and i think I'm going to drill 1/4" holes all over my rock before I put it back in so that I can use hard acrylic rods to attach things to the sides a little easier.

Corals will be fine so long as you keep it underwater with water movement and the right temp. You can keep them aside for many hours like this without any harm.

Did you want to make more room for corals, for fish, or just give it a more open look?

done.

everything is just fine.

Basically I brought the rock out as far as i could to the front (and still be able to clean in) and tiered it up to the top. Gives me about %30 more surface area to place corals.

I have seen someone on here use mag-floats with eggcrate attached to them. He was using them for his frags, but they looked pretty handy.
