I was wondering if I placed some potassium hydroxide KOH inline with my skimmer air, would that help in a tight home like mine that PH stays low?

Ok maybe Lithium Hydroxide might be better, from my submarine days and rebreather

I know there is alot of exchange at the water surface but the skimmer has to have more of an effect.... right?

Thanks

It is going to be an expensive way to remove CO2, and won't do much unless you recycle the air from your skimmer. Better method is to have better ventilation for your house, or bring in some fresh outdoor air via a hose or something.
