question on bm250 skimmer

im thinking of getting the bubble master 250 ive read on other websties that the skimmer works best with a constant water level of 5 to 10 inches the concern i have ,is my wter level is a constant 12 inches does anyone know if i will still be ok or will the 12inches be a problem and also if u own one let me know how u like it, im running a crappy mtc on my 120gal right now cant wait to change it

If they recommend 5" to 10" I would stick with that. Try to put the BM on an eggcrate to raise it by couple of inches. And let me know, if you get one, how you like it. I also want to switch.

yeh i think i can raise it up on some think i think im definatly getting it the mtc is worthless

BM 250 is too big for a 120, seriously. You won't be happy with it get a BM 200.

Im totally happy with the 200, I had it up on pvc stand to get the recomended height

I have mine in 6 inches of water. Make sure not to submerge the output!
