i hemmed and hawed....
i went in and looked.
i talked about it for two weeks.
i read countless pages of none-sense.

i had my eye on two different foxface guys.... i decided today was the day and i went after choice number one.

sold.

i went after number two, and now he is swimming in the 120 while poor isabelle (the sailfin) is miserably hanging out in the borrowed 20.

the tank is brand new, the set-up only just finished late yesterday afternoon. i thought i would put the sailfin in as i was excited to see it all in...... that and seniority...

then today i got the foxface.

i moved some rock around just before he went in, and i left all the lights off. it was total darkness in the room. by the time i walked to the kitchen and back the sailfin was all over him. just swatting at him with her tail and completely open fins. as soon as the i turned the lights on low in the room, she backed off and swam around like nothing was going on. so i dimmed the lights and stepped back. nothing.

total darkness found the sailfin right back on the foxface.

lights on, she swims away.

lights off, torment city.

long story short, i put her in time out.

tommorrow i am going to really rearrange the rocks and try again........

you might get that infighting for a while, personally I wouldn't worry too much about it, the foxface has a potent defense you might actually see it swimming on it's side flicking its spines up when the sailfin gets near.

and kick up it's spines it does!
the foxface was not happy with the sailfin.

once it was out, i turned on the lights slowly, the foxface came out, ate, and swam around in the currents.....

i'll let you know how today's events unfold.........

I do hope things settle down. An angry tang can do amazing damage... mincemeats, anyone?

time out worked... that and i pulled her aside and gave her the "role-model" for your little brother routine...

she listened.... or she hated that little tank....

i changed up the rocks some, plopped her in and they found each other quickly and both just kinda swam away together....

i guess they kissed and made up....

awwwww......

whew.
