a week or so ago they were a few in one corner. today, i dont know if it was the time of day, the tank had been in direct sunlight for no less than 2 hours, but the front glass was teaming with these little white "bugs". pure solid white. itsy-bitsy. i mean teeny tiny. stark white. you can see them moving along on the glass. to my naked eye they do not look like isopods nor amphipods.

tonight there are some under the MH, not as many as with the natural light this morning. unless i can't see them....

it could look like the convotriloba_flatworm pictured here:
http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/worms/photoa ... ?b_start=3

but mine are solid white, and in the rear there is only a V, not a W as shown

i just spent some time watching the tank and everything appears to be quite happy and free from these little white dots.....

i can't seem to find any better photos....

When people talk about little bugs, they're usually talking about copepods. They're white dots, too small to distinguish any features by the naked eye. They kinda "scooch" around on the glass and even in the water column.

The colorless version of flatworm is harmless. I had those for a little while.

I think both of these animals are usually transient visitors to aquariums. You see a population explosion when a tank starts or when something is added, but then they disappear once their food source is exhausted.

Copepods. Sometimes it's fun to take a small flashlight and shine it on a small spot in the tank after lights out..........the tank sometimes just crawls with these things.

Ya, probably copepods. They have legs, but the legs are so small they aren't very visible. They look like they glide/hover.
