I posted it in the for sale thread, so i am sure it will get taken down. I will repost it in the feedback forum later. I told the seller I wouldnt have paid 250 for this, total w/ shipping it was 300, I told him I would take $100 refund and even at 150 plus shipping if I saw a realistic pic of it I wouldnt have bought it. I have bought from so many other reefers over the years and this is my first one thats been not so good.
I'm sorry, that color change is NOT a "stress of shipping" type thing. While yes corals do lose colors, that seems to have been a complete loss of everything that's fluorescent, did you try slamming it under nothing but actinics? that's often a very tricky thing to do then white balance back to "blue"
Also looks like yours is a bit poofy, give it a good thunk with your finger to try to get the tissue to deflate, that's also another trick people use when selling corals online to get them "pretty" in a picture.

He is saying he will give me the full $300 if I send it back and he recieves it healthy, still would leave me out of the $50 that I would pay to ship it back to him. I just dont trust I would ever see a refund from him. He hasnt been good about this at all so I dont trust him to stand by his word now.
I did look at it under actinic but nothing better then what is shown above. I will tap it so it goes down a bit and take a look. I am just pissed today. I will get over it....I have a bubblegum monster and some other acans coming from a more reliable seller next week.

This is what he is saying, I told him we are not tlaking sps here. I have received a bunch of acans and never had them come in browned from shipping stress.
That would make it a deal for me, but I know he wont do that. I told him i just dont trust him enough to send this thing back and expect he will refund me, that would make me a fool twice over lol.
All well....I told him i would give it a few weeks and post a new picture but I have no doubt it will look the same in two weeks. I got a PM from someone one RC stating they bought some acan from him a month ago and had the same problem, it looked one way in the picture and much different when they got it.

Not to defend the guy, but could temp be an issue in the coloring? My acans really color up in cooler water (maybe not that much), but tend to blan out in warm water.. maybe its just me.. also the pic you posted displays a LOT more tissue than does the one he had...
At any rate, I wouldn't send it back.....

Eh I am over it now, its not then nicest piece or nearly what I expected at all but screw it. In anycase I got three mindblowing nice Acans from another RC member yesterday, I just can't believe how nice they are. I went home last night and sat infront of my tank and just chilled, they are so sweet. They were cheap to I spent under 300 for the 3, I will have to post pics later but one is red with truely pink centers.
Looks to me like a different piece of coral just looking at the outlining shape of it. I never spend 300.00 on something that could die though....unless its a dog. Those seem to fare better. lol All in all though it still looks to be a healthy acan. The open brain skeletons in the backgound of the sellers pic would have worried me though
