How would it look to take a long tank and light one end with bright light and gradually reduce the the light toward the other end stocking it accordingly?

It might be a very cool way to have an interesting tank and save some money on lighting.

Anyone done or seen a tank like this?

I think it would be cool to light a tank only from the bottom and have all the corals hanging upside down. Then you could see which controls their growth the most, gravity or the light.....

They don't seem to have much trouble overcoming gravity to fro upward but growing upside down gravity might help them grow in unusual ways.

Knucklehead tried that 5 or 6 years ago and pretty much had a setup that would quickly poach corals.

That could be interesting too - -as long as the corals are healthy and growing some lateral moment would be great,

Grew laterally? Me too.

I think I am going to blame it on the light from now on...

I would like to setup a microgravity reef tank system, and see how the lack of gravity can affect the growth of the coral... ;)
