I've had years of luck with not getting hair algae in my tank. I just switched over to the nutrafin line of flake and I have this algae bloom that is uncontrolable. Anyone ever have this issue before? I'm switchind over to my previous food, and doing water changes every two weeks.

Are you using RO water or tap for your changes? Any additional info about your tank would be helpful as in size, lighting, etc :)

Check your top off water parameter too. Sometimes the filter can go bad without warning (other than hair algae, that is). Also, if there is a missing fish in there ( ) (dead fish that is not removed,) it can feed the hair algae too.
