From the editors note:
In Skeptical Reefkeeping IX, Rich Ross is joined by our old friend Chris Jury as they try to come to terms with the "impossible" yet confirmed PO4 readings in Rich's gorgeous reef. The analysis is thorough, thought- provoking, grounded in science and suggestive of a far more complex picture regarding PO4 and its role in our aquariums.

I agree that if it ain't broke don't fix it. Keep doing what you're doing, Rich.

I have had a fairly persistent problem with cyanobacteria in my tank lately. I haven't tested for anything other than CA and ALK in forever. I recently added a bag of Phosban in my overflow. I did a regular WC and sucked out as much slime as possible. It doesn't seem to be coming back.

I am not much of a tester either. Once I get a handle on how things are going I only test when things look out of wack. Staying on top of good sized water changes always seemed to keep things in check for me.
