Pondmaster Mdwp-20 Model 2650

Need to know if anyone has any experience with these pumps made by pondmaster, The makers of the Mag-drive. Need it for an application that needs about 2500 gph and in reading I have noticed that it has a lower wattage consumption than most other pumps in this category.

Tried a pondmaster before..It worked good for 6 months then I had some probs with it..The salt was to much for it I guess it kept jamming, not starting out of nowhere...But I guess if you clean it a lot,you no stay up on the maintenence...But this was almost 10 yrs ago...Maybe they are better now..

FYI Pondmaster = Mag pumps

Mag pumps have been fairly reliable for me and starting up everytime. I just had to replace the metal screws with plastic because they rust. That, and they consume a lot of electricity.
With your particular pump, I don't have any experience with so I can't say.

Waterfall Pumps: Skimmer/Waterfall Pump 2000 gph

The Pondmaster Magnetic Drive Waterfall/ Skimmer Pump is ideally suited for pond skimmers and waterfalls. This completely submersible pump runs quietly and efficiently operating a waterfall or skimmer. Pondmaster magnetic drive pumps are designed to meet the demands of your pond and water garden. Unlike other pumps, magnetic drive pumps are made to run continuously, without seals to wear out. Magnetic drive pumps are energy efficient, using less energy than direct driven pumps, and may save hundreds of dollars over time. Being filled with epoxy, rather than oil, these pumps cannot leak oil into the pond, which can be harmful or fatal to fish and plants. These magnetic drive pumps are low-maintenance with only one moving part, a ceramic shaft and impeller. ABS case, corrosion-proof fasteners, and heavy duty copper windings, resulting in a durable, energy-efficient, and long lasting pump.

Outlined in red would worry me if you're using it on your reef.
