Help with Mag 7 pump

Folks!! I need some Help!!!If my pump is making a rattling noise, is it the impeller that needs changing? Or do I need to get a new pump?

did you try running it in vinegar to remove any buildup inside?

Also, check to see if it is up against something - I have a mag 9 and mag 7 - both, if leaning against the acrylic fuge, make a humming rattling noise -

I have also experienced the mag drives killing a snail and as the shell deteriorates breaks up and finds it's way into the shaft -

I recommend what Jascson said first - run it with a hot water vinegar mixture and see what that yeilds,

Pulled it apart and cleaned it. Same noise as before.. Now here is the kicker. I can't remember if it is a mag 5 or 7. Does anybody know if the impellars are the same?
