Wondering If Anyone Is Using The Tunze 9002 Or The 9005 Skimmer And If So How Do You Like It, Was Thinking Of Getting The 9005 For Future Upgrade And Would Rather Have A Little Larger One Than One I Cant Use If I Do Upgrade. Thinking Of These Because Of Foot Space

I just recently switched to a 9010 for space reasons and I am really happy with it. It is very quiet and pulls tons of nasty skimmate. It has only been 2 weeks but I think it is a keeper.

and also is it really that quiet - how much db do you estimate it to be?

been searching on rc for someone that has been using them and cant find anything and from what i get the 9005 after everything to use it in the sump is pnly $30 less than just getting the 9010. and mixed results on them. thinking of just getting a mag 3 to use on my remora. but lmk how it does

Yeah it is really that quiet, especially when compared to a remora, and the ev-180. It is inaudible over the draining water, return pump, chiller pump, etc. It all becomes one steady white noise. I am still adjusting mine and have it skimming a little wet. What I wanted was a set and forget quiet skimmer that fit in my tight space and did it's job well, and as of now I am really happy with the purchase.

Thank you, I've been looking for a replacement for my ER cs-100 for a while.
The Tunze is definitely one of the candidates.

9010 It is raised up on a platform in the sump until I can do some modifications to the sump so it can sit on the bottom.
