Green Hair Algae Growing on my Corals

I have green hair algae growing on my zoas and star polyps and it's pretty hard to get it off without ripping off or damaging the polyps. Anyone has any suggestions on the best way to get rid of it.

good luck i lost alot of my zoa's that way, suggestion get a bunch of mexican turbo's, the larger one's, and a seahare, do a large water change and put zoa's in a bucket of the old water and put turbo's in, you could leave them in there for a few days just have a powerhead in there for flow,

i don't have any colonies. they are mostly frags. getting a bunch of mexican turbos and a sea hare would be overkill for me. thanks for the idea though.

I personally delt with this issue and YES its a pain in the arse to get rid off. I tried everyting. Useless.... The best trick is to have tangs. They ussually take care of this issue. Turbo snails do the job but didnt do it for me unfortunatly. Best remedy is to find the source of the problem. Manual removal works well but its a hastle due to a bi-weekly removal...
Good luck with this issue.. I always thought its the lights that cause the hair algae growth as well as the water quality.... Sorry, I dont know u well but, do u use RO/DI?

then get a soft bristled brush and try to brush it off, and out of curiousity how would having some turbo's be overkill ? i have about 15 of them in my nano as well as around 20 hermits, never can be too clean
