anyone ever though of using this material for a tank, know it might be over kill but you would never have to worry about cracking and scratch resistast has to be higher

From what I've heard the polycarbonate is tuff to work with (cutting, gluing). Its too bad I just threw away never used starboard because no one seems interested in it on this board.

The school across the street from me replaced some of their windows with lexan, a while back. The contractors threw out the scraps, so I grabbed a few of the cuttings for building dividers in my sump. I could never get the pieces to glue together strong enough using normal solvent cement. And I would not say that it was anymore scratch resistant than regular acrylic. There is probably some special adhesive to use, but I didn't bother with it, and stuck to acrylic.
