My whole system is stupidly loud. Help me.

I put some thick rubber matting under the pump and that IMMEDIATELY decreased the pump noise by over 50%. However, there is still this extremely annoying buzzing sound from the sump area - I think it's being caused by the actual sump resonating with the vibrating boards where my pump is. :( thoughts on how I might fix this?

Also, one of my dursos continually slurps. :( Please, please help me.

Lissa,

The durso slurping could mean you're pushing to much water through it. Do you have a picture? Also the hole in the durso for air to go in could be too small. If thats the case get a john guest fitting that has a valve, and a little piece of tubing and just place it in the hole and you can adjust the amount of air. It worked for me :).

Okay, durso still sounds like a toilet flushing. :( I've tried closing the ball valves on my drain a bit and that decreases the toilet sound. However, for some reason, that makes my pump suck in air. How do I fix this? Raise the water level in the sump a bit and close down the ball valves?

what type of pump u have? some pumps r noisey no matter what u do.
if the durso is slurping, it is sucking in faster than there is water. sticking the air tube further down.

get rid of the second durso. put a piece of pipe in so it's a safety drain.

the plywood is acting like a sound board on a musical instrument. You either need heavier wood, or to make the board that the pump is on smaller so it has less surface area to vibrate.

Try padding between the board and the metal stand. if that doesn't work try screwing another piece of wood to the bottom of the current piece.

What type of noise is thepump making, It is just your basic hum? or does it sound like very fast clicking. I had a problem with one pump that there was a slight amount of pressure on the pump from the plumbing. A shim did the job under the pump, lifted the pump to get the plumbing all level.

Dense soft rubber foam is what I use to line the entire inners of my stand.
Also you might want to try turning your pump on and off, that seems to alleviate some of the noise.

Lissa,
Take the internal elbow off one of the dursos, or just swivel it up so the opening is above the other durso. two dursos will fight with each other and slurp quite a bit.

My overflow holes are on the bottom of my box, so i just have a piece of pipe in the bulkhead. since your dursos are internal, you can jsut swivel the elbow.
