does anyone know what is the best way to kill asptasia? i tried joe's juice, but after a day or two the asptasia will grow back. i remember someone here has a fish that eats asptasia, anyone recall what kind of fish is that? or is there any other way to get rid of asptasia?

BB,

The fish you are looking for is the Auriga (or Threadfin) Butterfly. It is (mostly) reef-safe but it will pick at some LPS fleshy polyps. It is a beautiful fish, as well.

I plucked mine all out w/ a tweaser so far so good its been two weeks. Make sure you get it all with the tweaser. Good Luck. I also tried the joe juice wity no luck. waste of money

I shot them with syringe full of HOT water...the majority of buggers haven't shown again!

But my infestation wasn't too bad...I guess? Say...20 tops

thanks, i will try hot water and pluck them out before i buy the fish, i have a bunch, its out of control, joe's juice is really waste of money and time

lemon juice works for me every time.

i mix kalkwasser or mrs. wages Pickling lime with water. make a thick paste. inject them with it. 5 or 6 at a time then stop because too much will make your alk rise. never see them again.

I use a kalk paste it's been working so far...

BTW, they go great with some srooms and white sauce add a bit of garlic and hot peppers and you got yourself one great meal...MmmmmMmmmm good!

Also go's good with a shrimp dish as a side with a dash of balsamic..
