Filter In Refugium

I was thinking since my tank is somewhat cloudy i would put my fluval 405 back in the tank but but but i thought when i get the RBTA i wanted he might get sucked in it so i figured maybe put it in my Refugium not the canister itself but the intake and outake in my 2.5 gallon hang on back refugium..

I would worry about any copepods, amphipodes, and other good things getting removed/caught by the filter.

You can also put a sponge around the intake, or put a "heater protector" around the intake if you don't want the sponge in tank.
