This tank needs to be repaired...pics below (tank resting on its side) represent where the cracks are on the tank
...the demensions are 45 1/8"L x 31"H x 18 1/4" D...it has bracings at the top as seen on pic...
throwing the tank out is a last resort, im looking for options ....thxs

I didn't notice that bracing at all...ouch.
Since the top of a tank has less to do with integrity than the bottom..why not remove the top frame IF you think the bracing that is around the top will come off with it..drop the new piece of glass in & attach it like Tony had said and then put the top back on...

it does look like you're going to have to cut the overflow too..
what a mess, sorry Mike.

I have had to replace a top frame in the past and it isn't as bad a job as it seems...

Mike I'd say go to a glass store or call GC or someone in that industry and see how much it would cost to replace the entire panes. It may be cheaper and less frustrating to get a new tank I know it is a last resort but it might also be the least stressful one.
