i can answer the bump question, when your thread gets buried and is no longer visible people will "bump" it up to the top. often by typing the word bump, or you may see these, ^^^, that's a bump.

Wet skimming is when you skim really wet, the skimmate isnt as dark or thick, its alot more watery.

Dry skimming is when you get a think nasty skimmate that has a smell strong enough to knock you out for weeks.

Thats the best i could do at explaining it. Someone else can do a better job but you get the basic idea.

foam is impurities, when a skimmer skims wet, it's faster developed and less concentrated proteins skimmed out, which contains alot more water. when you skim wet the water level is very little, the foam is concentrated with protein, or impurities. that is why it's darker and stinky. wet is acually better because the protein is skimmed out faster, unlike dry where you collect all that nasty stuff then send it out. think of it like diarrhea or constipation.
