I was debating on going with a sump and insump skimmer.

what would be the best smallest most powerful insump skimmer i can get thats not gonna cost me a fortune.

Im also going to need a return pump with the least heat transfer.
for this i was thinking an eheim 1268 pump if theres such a thing...

any ideas for good equipment that will skim the crap out of my tank and pump water back to the tank with the lowest heat transfer internally please let me no...

thankyou in advance...

I second the Tunze DOC skimmer. It uses almost no power, transfers little heat and is very quiet, all while being pretty powerful. I have seem then used an very reasonable prices, but can be expensive new. Eheim for a return pump is the best you are going to be able to get as far as heat and power consumption

im asuming you will just have a compartment for skimmer and return pump......
then the first baffle should be down so you can have a constant level for the skimmer to work effiiciently....the rest of the baffles is up to you ...but usually just down ,up,down...have fun with the build...show us some pics when your done....
