Today I start the cooking process on my rocks. But I have a question first.

Should I bleach the rocks first? I've got 23 Bazillion flat worms, and I think soaking my rocks in bleach for a day or two will get rid of them. Other options would be to leave the rocks outside for a couple of days, or add half a cup of ammonia to the water.

What do you suggest? Anything I haven't thought of you can think of to kill the little varmin? I have FWE, but don't really want to use it on the rocks, since I intend to kill everything off them anyhow. I will use FWE on the tank while the rocks are out. I'm also going to pick out a wrasse to help with the control later. Any suggestions on which wrasses will eat them?

Use the bleach. A dilute solution, 5-10%. Make sure you wash them with lots of water after to get rid of any residue. Best way to make sure is smell, if you smell bleach then you need to wash more.

Bleach it is. Since it's going to take a couple of months, and I'm going to do at least 10 waterchanges, I'm not too concerned with any residual stuff afterwards. Just nice clean rocks!

What about ammonia? If you're going to be curing the rocks, wouldn't the ammonia help in jump starting the cycle? That way, it'll work two ways, get rid of the flatworms AND jumpstart the curing (the residual ammonia that is).
