anyone have expierence using chemi-pure?

someone gave me a bottle of chemi-pure as a gift recently. looked at the claims on the website and it sounded better than viagra. anyone actually using this stuff? relativly cheap to be able to accomplish all this.

It s in my tank now and forever. It is just carbon already in a bag, I use the elite now because it has phosphate remover in it.

I use it as well as some other members here. It works well to keep your tank parameters balanced. I like it and use it all the time. Make sure you give it a quick rinse in RO/DI or Distilled h2o before putting it in your tank. It certainly wont hurt anything.

I am using it. I have been always using it so i cannot compare of not using it. if changed regularly it does the job. But I doubt it does all that is writen on the container, but it does most (for me)

Hmmmm.......I used it many years ago...maybe 9? I remember that it screwed up my tank...I forget exactly how, probably alkalinity......and that the problems ended when I got rid of it (I had it in the tank about 2 weeks or so....). But as I said, that was a long time ago....it may be different now.

have been reading this thread. very interesting. Question: when you guys use it, do you still use other dosage for alkality and/or calcium (to keep ph stable)?

I rarely have to dose any 2 part but when I do it's not for PH my PH stays between 8.2 and 8.4 on any given day.

Ive Been Using Chemipure For 6 Months Its Great Crystal Clear Water Does The Job Change It Evry 2months. I Want To Use Elite But Man Its So Expensiv Is It Worth It I Have Two Canister Filters And Use 3 Bags In Each So Imagine How Much Money Is That Lol

I have never used it, but I'm curious if anybody has a SPS dominated tank using this product.
And if so, please show pics because I don't consider a bunch of SPS nubs to be SPS dominated yet

I use 2 bags of chemipure elite on my 150g and the water quality is great. Very good stuff!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY DOSE MORE STUFF AND MY NITRATE NITRITE AMMONIA ARE ALWAYS ON "0" BUT I HAVE TO WORK ON THE PH FOR SOME REASON IT KEEPS GOING DOWN TO 8
