Banner ad's and sponsors

Dear fellow MR members,

Please keep this in mind. If you are ordering from one of the many sponsors this site has please click on their banner ad and also please when checking out if there is a "Where did you hear about us?" question please put Manhattan Reefs in the answer box. This shows the sponsor that their ads are being seen by people. It also shows that the traffic comes from MR saying we are a viable place to market their product.

Clicking a banner ad when you are going to order is kind of ridiculous. MR has too many sponsors for me to hit "refresh" 15 times in order to get to Premium Aquatics banner ad.

I buy from most of the people that advertise on RC for example, they have tons of vendors, most of them I know. When a new one comes along I click it and browse what they have to offer. If it is good I bookmark it and go back later to buy something. In fact and usually check back with them every so often to see what specials they have etc.

It's real easy to come on here, go on RC, check out MarineDepot and PA, reefexotics etc but to do all my internet searching via MR banner ads!? That's just ridiculous.

Fred you can click on our sponsors in the tools pulldown and have the same effect since you will be clicking on the banner ad in there.

We can only benefit from these vendors and sponsors knowing that the orders are coming from MR.

You don't need to keep clicking to get the sponsor banner ad that you want. Just look under the "Tools" pull down and you'll see "Our Sponsor". If you click that you'll get the banner ads for all MR sponsor.

Just like you when I go to RC I look under their Sponsor tab to see if any new vendors have been added. Some of them I do bookmark but a lot of them I don't. I use the sponsor tab instead of a bookmarking them. Also on RC they do offer discounts or announce sales that are only on their banner ad.

Kudos for the push. As a vendor I appreciate the efforts as the only gauge a vendor really has is stats provided by the site.
