heater went bad and lost alot of coral

and some othere stuff

I did a mass water change is got the temp down should I just wait a see or is there somthing else I should do?

also is there somthing that will shut the heater down when it gets to how if so whe is the best thing to get

wow that sucks!

u can try getting two lower heater next time rather one bigger one, that way if one heater go nuts it will only raise the temp alittle and not jump up to 100 degrees

Sorry about the loss. Make sure that you don't bring the temperature down to fast. You can get a AC Jr or a Ranco to regulate your heater.

Ryan.........so sorry ! The same thing happened to my son Harrys Fresh water tank. I lost my mind ! AA installed the same temp controller in my reef tank attached to my chiller. It works great ! My temps fluctuate 1 degree. You can set the min and max temp you want between the chiller and heater. I actually only have the chiller hooked up to it now as im not worried about the cold weather, but will hook it up come fall. Hope to see u at the store soon.

Ebo-Jager from Ehiem, is the one I use and never had any problems. Even when the water went below the heater and that things was steaming and when I refilled it didn't explode.

My next two purchases will be the Ranco 2 stage and a reliable chiller.
