How do you keep your snails out of your overflows?

Tons are ending up in the sump, must be having too much fun. How do you keep them out?

Mine are escaping the sump but they come back.Have them in there to clean up in there.

It's basically a mesh that can fit over your overflow to keep them out. I use it in any tank in which I have an eel in.

My snails keep ending up in the return chamber, but seem to like it there...should I be kicking them out?

Shot anything that tries to escape.

if they end up in the return chamber, make sure they are not small enough to go into the return pump.that would be bad

as long as they dont get too frisky with the maxijet I guess I'll leave them there since they always make their way back!

put a screener on the overflow hole. Or you could make an example of the first one to go over, and stick its head on a pike in front of the hole to warn the others not to mess with you.

LOL. Thanks for all the creative tips gang. I'll check out home depot for a gutter screen. Maybe I can use this to cover the entire tank, just in case I get some wrasse
