Less than a week after I moved everything to my new 120 (two days ago), I had a heater explode on me for no reason at all! All of the inverts look horrible... the only fish (a green mandarin) is fine. Anyway, I've had carbon running and have been doing water changes ever since. A few of the corals and other inverts do seem to be getting better. We are pretty sure the heater didn't leach copper, but it may have leached another heavy metal such as lead. Or there is the possbility that the electric current damaged the inverts enough to keep them looking pretty bad for a few days. To be safe, I want to get a polyfilter to take out any contaminants that might be in the water. However, I can't seem to locate one in any LFS near me (that I know of at least) and would have to pay over $20 for overnight shipping online.

So, I was wondering if there is anyone in the NY state area that would be kind enough to send me a spare polyfilter. I would pay for the total cost of the polyfilter and shipping. If you could send it out this morning, that would be wonderful. It would probably get here monday. Or, if somebody knows of a store within an hour(ish) of Kingston, NY that might have a polyfilter, please tell me! Thanks for any help!
