I also use Tropic Marin. But the next time I am in the store for some salt I will give Oceanic a try, just to see if there is truly a difference.

You need to be careful when switching over salt as it could cause problem as each salt has different mixes in it. You may want to do a search on RC about switching salts and what impact it had on people corals.

Yea, I heard about this. I would do it gradually, mixing more of the original salt with the new & increasing levels.

I heard about problems with direct mixing salt. I have tried it myself & have not had any problems (Tropic Marin & Crystal Reef).
