You may want to do a search on RC about switching salts and what impact it had on people corals.

I would do it gradually, mixing more of the original salt with the new & increasing levels. I heard about problems with direct mixing salt. I have tried it myself & have not had any problems (Tropic Marin & Crystal Reef).
