If you are going to purchase anything from the reef tanks at New World Aquarium on 38th street have a bottle of Flatworm exit ready.

Look what I found in/on a purchased coral:

FLATWORMS!!!

You definately will infect your tank if you don't treat the coral before putting it into your tank. I'm sure their responsible for infecting a large portion of NYC reefers out there.

what possessed you to buy coral from that store?

they should include a bottle of FWE for the price of the coral.

or maybe they should try using some themselves, it would not be a bad idea.

I was weak and miss terribly my tank at its former glory! :(

Sign your addicted:
You buy an SPS colony from New World Aquarium, totally disregarding common sense, and the observed identification of flatworms present in the tank before you purchase the colony! :banghead:

In my own defense, this SPS has the most extreme polyp extension I have ever seen in an SPS. If it is able to extend its polyps so in their tanks, I can only wonder at what it will look like with some TLC in mine! :D

As for the picture, you will have to wait and see, :smokin: .

Alot of place have them, Sean in Brooklyn had some on a clam I bought, and Island Reef in LI had Green bubble algae on his corals. You need to be very careful because most places don't quartine or treat their corals when they get them also once some thing has enter their systems it hard to get rid of.

Yeah that guy was Dave, very knoweglable and wouldn't sell you something if you didn't have the right setup or the fish wasn't good for your tank also would tell you about how to care for the fish. He left the industry a while ago and started working in the Tele-comm industry.
