My cleaner shrimp will not stop stealing food from my corals!! It is impossible to feed them. The shrimp are a mated pair and the female is pregnant with eggs for at least a few weeks. In my fuge in my sump i have about 2.5 gallons of very very slow moving water with about 6 lbs of LR. Besides a predatory crab i collected locally that i would have to remove the fuge is empty. Im thinking that the shrimp stealing plus the female being pregnant it wouldnt be a bad idea to throw them in the fuge. Is there a problem with keeping a pair of cleaner shrimp in a fuge about 2-4 gallons large?

Cleaner shrimp's fry are extremely hard to raise due to the long planktonic stage (close to 6 months) and fragile body. They can be killed by being simply stuck in the corner of your tank. The best I'd done was 2 weeks and they were still smaller than the size of an adult brine shrimp. Fish do love them though. The new born's egg sac is very nutritious.
