hey there, im realy planning on feeding my addictin and going to the next level. now i have a 5.5g and its doing well. now since i am comfortable with it and see that its just no a phase in im i want to upgrade. now i done want to get rid of the 5.5 and would like to use it as a sump/fuge. keep all the ugly rock in there and use the 10g as my main tank . now i plan on keeping it on a dresser top. with the 5.5 right behind it. i just would like some advice on ho i should go about flowing water back and forth between the two tanks.... and im going for a "zen " kind of look. maybe one center rock or two in in the 10g. thanks

what I would do is drill the 10g in the top right corner for a drain and plumb water back into the left side via a return pump (IME/O, a maxi jet or similar PH would be fine to use for this.

for the sump setup, you have a few choices. you could simply put a return pump (or maxijet), rock and the drain in the tank; or you could use baffles. personally, I would use baffles. make a tiny drain section, baffle, refugium with 'ugly' rock, baffle, and then return.
