Filter changes for RO/DI

So today I decided to change the sediment filter on my 75 gpd RO/DI that I got a few months ago from bulkreefsupply. This is the first time that I change the filters on it and I can't figure out how to open the canisters. I tried attaching the wrech onto the canister and then turning it to the left, but I can't get a good hold on it and I'm scared i'm going to break the wrench or the canister. Does anyone have any advice on how to open the canisters? thanks

are you sure you're using the wrench right? Is it the full circular one or the half circle one?
half circle one needs to be pulled to turn (like a bottle opener), not push to open like a real wrench.

I'm pretty sure its the right wrench, its the one that came with it and its the full circle.

hmm ok if it's a full circle..... Is the unit still under preassure when you're trying to open it? Are all the valves in the open position?
And are you positioning the wrench all the way at the top of the canisters?

I usually disconnect it and lay it on the floor to get a better handle on it so I can turn it with enough force with feet holding it down. Its on there pretty tight.
I'm sure I could screw it onto a wall or something, but I'm too lazy

Yeh I took it off the wall and I still couldn't get it open

Also did you try turning it in the other direction? It might be screwed on opposite of the normal way.

I figured it out. I was turning it the right way, it was just on REALLY tight. thanks
