I have had a lot of luck with the odyssea brand lights and everybody has the same "you get what you pay for response" but I dont feel this is entirely true. Odysseya got a bad rep from problems with their old magnetic ballast MH lighting. I currently have two 36" t5 lights by them and they work fine.

I am guessing you are buying this from aquatraders. The lights worked great on Jason's tank and I know that the old ones used to light on fire due to the ballasts.

I would just change the bulbs that's pretty much it.

Oh yeah the nova extreme also doesn't have individual light reflectors so it's not going to be as good either. Bumps up the 39W bulbs to 60W each.
