So, I got a Purple Firefish, right? I haven't been turning on my sump light because I have no background on my tank and when I turned it on it's been throwing too much light back into the tank through the back of the stand (which is open) and I figure I'd wait until I can put some sort of background on it to block the bleeding light through. (The lack of light in there has pretty killed all the algae I had in the fuge, but I digress.) Anyway, tonight I was poking around under there with a flash-light and low and behold...I can see the Purple Firefish through the glass! I guess it's buried itself under the sand and I can just see it sitting/lying/floating there. Look at the pic; this is from under my tank! Now I wonder what'll happen when I start turning on the sump light; assuming it won't light the light all night long...how will it sleep?? I suppose I could just tape some cover under the tank also, to give it some privacy! :tongue1:

I kinda freaked out when I first saw it; took me a second to figure out what it was. Thought it was some sort of huge worm in there! :bigeyes2: My sandbed isn't deep at all. 1 inch at its thickest points. I was primarily going for aesthetics, not thinking it would be a great filtering device. (Though a cyano outbreak has killed the aesthetics! :irked: )
