I bought a refractometer from them but no live stock.
I've purchased a lot of livestock from them. They have a 14d live guarentee and will replace something if they've accidentally shipped the wrong thing or if it dies in transit or within 14 days of shipping. The livestock I've gotten from them has all been very healthy. I had ordered anthias from them and they were already eating prepared foods when I got them. I've always been very happy with my purchases from them.

They're live stock is order from different places across the country so they don't always know what they have or the size of the fish or coral. You can request them for a certain size or color but your never know if your going to get what you want. If you do a search on the board you'll find that a couple of months ago they did an order from Liveaquaira and not everyone was happen with it.
Thatpetplace & Petsolutions seems to have better live stock and you can ask them to send you a picture of the fish that your interested in, ThatPetplace did it for me within 1/2 hour of asking.
All of them have the guarentee protections and have some type of free shipping if you order over a certain amount.

Dr. Fosters does seem to be a bit pricey... however in the new FAMA there is an article about Dr. Fosters and their system(s). they breed, frag and all that good stuff. Decent "little" read.
oh yeah, where was I going with this. I think it may be worth the few extra dollars for the guarantee, unless of course you have someone local that will do the same.

Aren't Drs. Foster the same as Live Aquaria?? I remember some people on this site doing orders and not being happy with the results.
That aside, I do need a bunch of inverts myself (a nice fish won't hurt.) I'm also trying to see who's the best to order from; LFS are too expensive with snails and hermits.

i got 2 doa's from L .A
i think everyone in the group buy from a while back got DOA's or had a death within a few days.....some of the fish looked like they were in the shipping bag with a shark, except there was no shark to be found.
on the bright side they did refund all of the losses. i would only order dry goods from them, and maybe coral.
