what can be the problem with skimmer

before i take my skimmer apart i would like to get some responses to what to look for.my euroreef 135 is not creating any microbubbles in chamber which of course means no skimmate.i just looked at the neck of skimmer and its just water flowing no microbubbles.what can be the cause of this.im thinking something happened to impeller inside sedra pump.

Check to make sure air line is not filled with salt creep

I just had to clear a salt blockage out of mine, so I'd say check there first.

how dirty is the euro-reef body?

if the body is very dirty sometimes it will not skim, best bet is to take the skimmer out and clean the pump and the skimmer itself

If there are no bubbles in the skimmer body and the water in the skimmer body is clear or there are very few bubbles.

1. Check the sedra - It may be time for a vinegar/water soak
2. Check the the Volute on the air intake on the Sedra (the place where the hose connects) it may be blocked
3. Double check the air line for any blockages.
4. Check the impeller assembly of the needlewheel and be sure that it is not seized to the shaft.

i cleaned it out.took apart the needle wheel and BAM works perfect.damn salt build up..thanks guys
