HI

I do have one, it's the one under my name.

I've had it about 1 year. Eats like a pig.

HOWEVER, I got very lucky. A fellow hobbiest was converting his fo to a reef, and sold it to me. He had also had it about 1 year, and it was eating for him. This was the only one of the 6 MI's he tried that survived.

I think their mortality rate is too high to risk. Sorry

I also have to point out that this fish gets big, and you should have a very large tank to keep it in. Even when small the experts have said it needs a lot of swimming room.

Michael has a large tank, and I think that is the reason for his success.

that plus his fish eat better than I do ;)

michael,

did you keep the other 6 mi with your original one?

Steve,

I only got the survivor. The other 5 were "killed" by the other guy. He attempted them in groups of 3. He bought 3, they all died. Bought 3 more, only this survived.

StingNYc,
I'm moving towards a FO/LR tank with some softies. sad to say I'm leaving the SPS behind, and moving more toward fish (just as expensive). :/

Denos,
thanks for the links.

thanks,
Peter

This is a fish that should really be left in the ocean as it doesn't ship well, usally doesn't eat and even when it does it's not what it needs to survies and needs a large tank with tank mates that aren't aggressive.

The thing is the fish usally isn't expensive so people get it a shot and it usally dies.

Peter,

did you buy the 120 yet? if your going for a fo you might want to consider a 5 or 6' tank so the fish can have more swimming space. what type of fish are you getting? angels?
