I know quite alot of people have had bad experience wiith these so call bubble aglae eatting emerald crabs. But I thought I got some good one.. Until in the past few months, I have always noticing that some of my sps have been loosing up tips here and there. Don't know why.. I was thinking it could be the snail bumping into them or forcing there way across and broke a piece here and there. It was doing it to my less beauitful sps, hehe.. Until it start clipping my ora tort and gomezi...It must stop there.
You know you wait like 6 months for the tort to finally start growing and this stupid crab starting clipping my damn tips away..
So last night I finally spotted him on the top of a rock in night. I was waiting patiently with all light close.. heheh.. With a little helper, the flash light.. I slowing pin him down with my index finger and was trying to put him out.. But I was wrong... He is a tough little crab.. He was grab onto the rock real tight and as I try to put him out, he kept on clipping me with the claw. Ouch.. It does hurt a little, but I was determine to get him out. I aint' letting him get out of my hand.. During the 15 minutes fight with him, I was at one point trying to break his damn claws with my finger.. Twisting and bending, but to no avail.. I was tired and saying its enough.. I pulled very hard holding onto his claws and was expecting either he come off or his claws. :sgrin:
Thats when he finally let go and I almost broke my T5 bulbs on the canopy when he let go..
What a battle... Those most battle I had done with my tank so far.. It was a victory nonetheless.
Now where is the emerald crab? Don't worry, I didn't kill him.. After all, I think he MIGHT clean up some bubble algae for me.. So I let him leave. He is in my sump.
John, I remember you got some in your tanks, but be careful..
PS: I might bring him out and torture him from time to time when I'm bore :joke: ..hahah..
