I totally agree because you wouldn't have to buy drinking water either it would cost a few cents per day for cartridges.:splitspin

Beware of bottled spring water some may have bactericides many beginners have been using tap water for years.

yeah dont trust the lfs
i paid dollar a gallon also. once i got my rodi it came with a tds tester and i tested a gallon from the same lfs and its was worse than my tap water from my own sink.

From faucet to the rodi. When u get an rodi get one with a high gpd IMO 100gpd is good.
Sorry but I would have to disagree here. I agree with getting a high GPD rating, but if you go to high then the rejection rate goes down. I prefer to use a 75 gpd membrane seeing as most of them have a 98% rejection rate whereas the 100 gpd usually have a 90-92% rejection rate lowering the quality of your water.
If you need to produce alot of water, then I would get a dual 75 gpd membrane setup. JMO.
