anyone use velociy t4 pump

i would like to know if anyone uses this i understand it adds alot of heat but the thing is silent (which i need). i have a panworld 100pxx on my closed loop but it is too loud so it has to go. any feedback it appr. i need to order today thanks,mike

I had two of those. Great in the winter, too hot in the summer for a 90 gallon tank.

The ceramic impeller shaft gets coated with calcium very quickly if you run a reef tank. You have take a few bolts off to clean it every few months, kinda a PIA.

how many degrees did it add to your tank

Nice pump. Uber quiet. It does run hot and builds CA quickly. Clean at least ever 4-6 months. I have one on my 75 it adds about 3-4 degrees. I put a big fan on my sump and it helped a lot. I was just evaporating a ton of water.

I think about 4-5 deg with the two pumps, enough to get a 1/4hp chiller for the tank.

heh it brought my tank's temp so high in the summer i had to sell mine other then that it's a great pump
