Robert,
No clue..left it fine when I left friday and came home to it today like this. It's sitting in the sand right in front of the rock. Its open as fully as before so I'm not sure if anythings wrong with it. But since its out of the norm I'm going to go with your word. No changes have been made to the tank for a while. Only thing added to the tank was the skimmer last weekend but really doubt that would do it.

Hopefully it jumped because it was uncomfortable, lights, flow, food, something picking at it... and not a disease. Leave it where it is try not to move it, if it stays there in a few days see if you can place a shell or rock under the sand beneath the clam maybe it will attach.
Clams have survived this.
