i know there have been many discrepancies in regards to this store on this site. however i did want to share with the community the good fortune that we have PERSONALLY experienced with the store, the owner and its employees. AND in my opinion, i am in agreement with a lot of you that they should expand the space to accommodate all the puppies. BUT this is a reefing website so i shall post my comments ONLY on the quality of the fish and corals.
we have been visiting this store for the past year. we stumbled upon it accidentally. at first, i was extremely hesitant because of its exterior and interior appearance but i quickly learned that i "could not judge a book by its cover." the employees were very friendly and helpful. now we are all on a first name basis and share the going ons in our lives.
in the last year we have purchased over half a dozen fish (they are ALL alive and doing great; survived biological and chemical warfare), all of our supplements because they are offered at great prices and are always in stock (i.e. kent's tech-m magnesium for a bryopsis outbreak; petco, petsmart, all the lfs on long island, nyc, and ct did NOT have it in stock), all of our food and corals (they are ALL alive and thriving).
**on a side note, they have undergone minor renovations with their tanks and the livestock are looking great. ask for jamie next time you stop by. he's really nice. knowledgeable, passionate, and takes a lot of pride in the tanks and this hobby. **
last but not least, because we have become regular customers of Exotic Pets unlike other stores we have purchased an exorbitant amount from, lou shows his appreciation towards our loyalty and business by offering generous discounts.
