What Camera to choose?

I need a good camera to take some nice shots of coral the camera I have is not cutting it at all. I want something easy price is really not an issue. I know most SLR's are a bit complex and thats not for me. Currently I have an olympus c-3020.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always

My Canon XT SLR is pretty much point and shoot... but might be pricier than most :yeah: :icon16: it'S like lighting, you gonna get there eventuaLLY might as well buy the best you can get :lol:

I have this one, by SONY, i love it for its size - easy to carry around (easily fits in a shirt pocket).

i have the T5 verSion and since itS small, you have to remain reallY still or it shakes, also the flaSh only goes like 5 feet :bigeyes2: good for hangout niteS tho :grouphug:

Someone on this forum posted that the Dimage was a good camera. Forgot who.

I have a nikon coolpix 4300 and it's not that great.

Look into a camera with anti-shake feature, unless you prefer to use a tripod.
They're usually priced at around $400-500.

ecfencing, that was me i use the dimage z1 it can be purchased for a low price now it has the anit shake, but imo anti shake does not help much, you still need a tripod

jennie; thanks. I was thinking of getting it. YOu could get a refurbished one for $150. New I think they are around $300 and change. I really have my eyes on a Nikon SLR. What's nice about the z1 is you can use a wide angle lense. Have you used it with the wide angle.

BTW Your shots are really nice considering you don't have an SLR.

i have the tripod for it (think there is a small $20 one and a larer $100 one - both by SONY)

ec, no i don't have the lenses for it yet. i plan on getting them one day. you have to buy the adapter tube for it though. they don't just screw on. i want the wide angle and the macro one

I have a nikon Coolpix 5000, Have been pretty happy with it though its getting a little old now. If your buying it for the tank, make sure you get a camera with good macro capabilities.
