is it possible to have another forum for ppl want to sell non reef related items to support this expensive hobby? or is it ok to post in the regular for sale forum? just an idea

we'll see what the web master wants to do,
but it would be cool to have the for sale broken into livestock, equipment and "other" sections.
and a networking section would be great as well.

I dont want another forum for non-reef related things. I like the board as it is. I love reefing. I already have other boards that I go to if I am looking for other items. I just dont want to junk up the site with offers for dvd's and bikes and such. Thats what we have Ebay for and Anandtech.com.

but the difference is that here were are dealing mostly with ppl we know and trust (better than craigslist/ebay/etc). I would feel more comfortable buying/selling with MRer than random ppl.

All your doing is putting in another forum that is seperate from the other reef selling one. It actually should make it easier as if all non-reef items for sale are place in it then the reef items for sale will be seperate. This should make it easier in the longer run as if you don't want to read those non-reef items for sale you just don't go into that forum.

but i guess that will just make this disease worse as we start selling out ovens and refrigerators for a skimmer and lights.

I agree with Michael and Albert, it would keep the non reef junk people have been posting out of the reef junk.

we have a loong way to go before we get to the number of forums RC has.
I would rather buy or trade a used whatever from someone I know on the board than a random person on CL.

By the way I've got an extra kitchen maid blender, anyone got some sps to trade for it?
