120 Gallon Reef Tank in Art Exhibit

Aquatic Creations worked with New York artist Byron Kim in the creation of his new exhibit "ODDLY FLOWING" at the Max Protetch Gallery, 511 West 22nd Street, NYC, 212.633.6999.

The marine work called "When Beavers Were the Size of Bears" is one of 5 pieces.

Setup: 120 gallon tank outward facing mirrored glass, ETSS Reef Devil, two 250 HQI w/ 20,000K bulbs, 100 lbs base & 82 lbs live rock, 60 lbs live sand. Invertebrates: crocea, yellow polyps, frogspawn, purple leather, feather duster, green bubble, hammer coral, cup mushroom. Fish: clown fish, yellow tang, naso tang.

The exhibit is on display till December 22. Call the gallery for days and hours of operation.

Best way to see it is at the gallery. The mirrored one way glass and the lighting are effects that don't translate well into photographs. The only thing you can see in a photograph is the set up.

Actually the setup is what I was hoping to look at. I was curious how you attached the lighting to the stand.

look close at the wires, they are suspended lights attached to the ceiling.
