Bum seller on RC, what to do?

I'm in the process of setting up my MRC CR-2, so I found a good price for a 5# pound co2 tank from GCROWPTC.
It was supposed to be leave on 11/04 at time of payment from Ohio, didnt get a respnse until a week later saying he was busy and it would ship on 11/12. That was the last I heard of him, I keep PM-ing and emailing him to no avail, this is getting extremely frustrating. Is there anyway I can get my money back or do I have to chalk up $55 to a loss?

How did you pay for it? If it was paypal you can file a claim with them and it take a # of week's to be settled. Also post on RC about him that may get him to responsed.

it was in fact, paypal, im unsure on how to go about filing a claim, I guess a call would be in order?

I will try to first get my money and then i'll doghouse him, dont want any resistance from his part, it sucks because all I really want is the C02 tank

this is the proper spelling of his SN "gcrowptc".i would keep trying to contact him to see what's up, maybe even let a mod on RC know.keep copies of the emails and pms and hope he responds, if he doesn't i think you're SOL.

I wanted to let a mod know but I dont think they can do anything in this situation, maybe ban him? but I still get niether moneynor c02 tank

Im going to try paypal, just gonna wait to see any advice on how to process this w/ paypal

Log on to Paypal and under your account you'll find a tab called "Resolution Center". You can file a claim here the seller will be contact and he'll give his side of the side. Paypal will then find in favor of who is right, in this case you, and refund the money back.

his PM box is not full, I saw that thread too, I didnt want to be sloppy about it, but im at a point where I dont care anymore

yup talk to paypal direct if you can.They are very helpful with the resolutions.just file the claim and wait a few days see what happens

doesn't look like a typical deadbeat, he's apparently a big poster on the Ohio Reef site as well, and was active there yesterday

thats why Ive been giving him the benefit of the doubt, but as you can see from my side its getting really suspicious, i mean all it takes is a few words typed to let me know what going on

File a claim to protect yourself, you can alway cancel the claim, and still try and contact him. Whether on Ohio Reef board or through RC.

I just PM'ed him on Ohioreefers and filed a claim w. paypal as there is a 45 day limit to succesfully file for one.

hopefully this'll never happen to anyone but now at least others know how to handle it thru my learning experience

It will work out for you Drzl,Paypal is very helpful with deadbeats ,If he cant provide a tracking # to paypal they will give you your money and take care of it with seller.
I too have gone through this with other seller.Always got my money back.Just a pita to wait and go through the hassle.
