400w ballast w/ 250w bulb?

Will this work? I currently have a Coralvue 250w Retro. I am considering buying an ICEcap 400w ballast. Will the new ballast work with my Bulb? or is the buld going to blow? I thought I read someplace that there were ballasts that supported both. I would like to go with the 400w for future expandability. In worse case I will have the Coralvue as a back up.
