Alex, those look more like button polyps with long skirts than aiptasia to me.

A is the spikes thru out the rock work even on the shell on the bottom of the pic.

Those spikey things I have them in my tank, they're just there don't do much. Not sure what they are though, never thought of it as a pest.

i feel like they are preventing my corals from growing. I snapped one off but I noticed as i was approaching it with tweezers something inside the spike moved.

Probably a tube worm. I doubt they are preventing the corals from growing. The coral would just grow over them, at least that's what i've noticed.

Anytime. If you want to kill the palys Kalk em I killed of an entire rock this way. Kalk one a day with a thick coating of kalk paste

Way too small for a Copperbanded, it will run out food very quickly, not to mention swim space. If hermit crabs are a natural predator I would go them, but very few will pick at them as they are scavengers or opportunistic predators and will not usually go after living animals.
