i cant get it to go over 7.8 all parameters are good cal. 440 alk. 9.3 mag. 1300 any thoughts ?

check your Ph kit as it maybe old. Also make sure that you have enough water breakage, that will help release co2 from the water. If the tank is in the basement or a room where there isn't alot of air coming in that could cause extra co2 to be introduced into the tank.
