So I'm currently attending SUNY Cobleskill and recently i was elected president of the very first marine biology club we were donated a 1000 gallon fish tank which will be one of the largest tanks I've ever worked on i started the marine biology club with a few major goals in mind such as being a to grow reproduce and frags a large assortment of corals to reintroduce into the pet trade in hopes of decreasing the number taken from the reefs. But I'm also interested in experimenting with new fish breeding methods, new filteration methods, and new lighting systems i think it will be a great opportunity to expand Suny Cobleskill's fisheries and wildlife program to maybe include the study of marine biology and potentially extend the colleges majors in the distant future i plan to update this post rather frequently with what's going on in the club as well as pictures of the tanks and such id love to have some tips from all the experienced reefers here and be able to use this as a rescource for the members of the club to be able to ask questions and get answers from experienced reefers.

il need all the help i can get I'm the only member of the club that has ever had a saltwater aquarium and im gonna be donating at least a frag of every coral i currently have to try to get this started im also hopefully gonna bring up a 30 gallon tank and start raising corals in that while the 1000 cycles and stabalizes

honestly i wasn't sure if any body would be interested in what were working on and its gonna be hard to start it with the way the economy is. yea Skimmer man il see what i can do about picking up clifton is about an hour from me so il work on gettin some money for gas then il send u a pm

the other thing thats being donated by the plant science department is a lighting system donated by the state troopers, from a marajuana bust the tank will have (3) 400 what metal halides which mean the tank will be able to keep pretty much any coral
